Children's Ministry Director

Wendy Jay has served on our staff since August 2024 as the Children’s Ministry Director. At 8 years old, Wendy would ride the church bus of Watson Chapel Baptist Church in Pine Bluff AR, and during that time is when she received Jesus and was baptized. She has worked with children and youth in several capacities: First Methodist Church Dothan Preschool and Daycare for 13 years, as Youth Director for Cloverdale UMC for 6 years, and at Lafayette Street UMC for 4 years. She is married to David Jay and they have 2 children: Ashley Jay Magrini and Michael; Lindsay Jay Gillilan and Jake. Wendy is also known as GiGi to Wesley and Addie Magrini as well as to Dow, Riggs, and Jeb Gillilan!  She loves spending time with those grandbabies, Jeep riding, and decorating her house for almost every holiday!
