Last Sunday Morning’s Worship Service was inspiring and encouraging to us all! What a joy to witness five youth profess publicly that they have trusted Jesus Christ alone as their personal Savior and Lord. We all appreciated the time and preparation they gave to share their salvation stories with us by video. Thank you parents and Bro. Joel for assisting them. Did you notice from these testimonies how God employs various people and ministries to reach these students with the gospel message? As we listened, we heard that God used Vacation Bible School to lead one to trust Christ. And our Child Development Center (CDC) was instrumental in reaching another. Still another mentioned the blessing of hearing the gospel through Wednesday evening Bible Drill. One young man noted God using his D-Group experience to bolster his relationship with Jesus. And thanks be to God for the godly homes from which these students come! It’s their parents who have taken on the prime discipling ministry to lead these young people to Christ. Join me in praying for these five as they follow Jesus daily in discipleship for His glory.
Pastor and author S.D. Gordon said, "The greatest thing anyone can do for God or man is pray." We continue to enjoy rich times of Scripture and prayer on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM. Church family, corporate prayer is absolutely critical for our church to live and operate in the will of God for our good and His honor. Each Wednesday, we study the Bible and apply it in our prayer time. We pray for the ministries of our church, for God’s leading in our church, and for the members of our church in current need of loving prayer support. It’s a special and moving time of unity, love, and God’s blessing and power. When we pray, we signal that we are dependent upon God and that we want His leading not our own. God blesses this because this blesses Him! God has promised, 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.' (Jer. 33:3)
Join us this Wednesday to ‘Call upon God’!
