Everyone has a next step. What's yours?

We hope FBCH can be a place where you connect to others and find a home. Here at FBCH, we believe that salvation comes by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.  And as a disciple journey with us on the discipleship pathway that is celebration, connection, consecration and commission. We never arrive, but we are all committed to walking the pathway together. Our church leadership would love to connect with you and hear more of your transformation  story, and help find the best place for you to grow as a disciple.

We're so excited you're interested in learning more about who we are as a family of faith!

Membership

The membership of FBCH is composed of persons who have confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and followed Him in scriptural baptism.  Any person may present himself for membership by making a public declaration of his faith at any regular church service.  Members are expected to be faithful in all the duties essential to the Christian life, to attend regularly the services of this church, to give regularly to its support and its causes, and to share in its organized work.

What We Beleive

Baptism

A person who receives the Lord Jesus as Savior, who indicates a commitment to follow Christ as Lord, and who publicly professes his faith and is received by the congregation, will be received for baptism.  Baptism candidates attend a baptism class led by one of the pastors before being baptized. Baptism is by immersion in water and administered by the pastor or whomever the church authorizes.

Sunday School

Sunday School is the best place for building relationships with one another and for learning to apply the Bible to everyday living. It is here that people talk through life issues, pray together, share meals together, laugh together, struggle together and serve together. When you arrive for Sunday School at 8:45 AM, look for the Purple Tent. There, someone will greet you, share the options, and help lead you to a class.

Serve

As a member of FBCH, there are multiple ways to use how God has shaped you for His kingdom and His glory.  The opportunities range from teaching a class, to serving on a ministry committee, to volunteering with VBS or one of the mission opportunities.  There's a place for you to use your spiritual gifts, passions, abilities and experiences in the mission of the church to make disciples.  Check our weekly newsletter for opportunities to serve God and people.
